The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is the federal Medicaid partner with the state of Iowa. Iowa’s Democratic State Senators have asked CMS to stop, change or delay the Branstad Administration’s rush to privatize Medicaid.
CMS is inviting Iowa health care providers and consumers to participate in conference calls express their concerns. The dates and call-in information are below.
Iowa Medicaid Privatization Initiative – CMS Listening Sessions
The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) will be hosting a series of Listening Sessions regarding Iowa’s High Quality Health Care Initiative. The initiative proposes to move Iowa’s delivery of most Medicaid services to a managed care delivery system effective January 1, 2016.
The listening sessions will provide interested parties an opportunity to share feedback with CMS and Iowa regarding the State’s proposed move to a comprehensive Managed Care Delivery system. There will be four listening sessions targeted to four specific audiences:
